Builders with purpose

The HSB Group is a highly-experienced building business based in the Hunter, Newcastle and Port Stephens region of NSW.

With more than 30 years in the business, the team at HSB Group identified a need for highly skilled NDIS providers in their region, to provide home modification services to NDIS participants.

Melissa Blanch from HSB Group, says they’re focused on helping people enjoy the best quality of life, and to live safely at home, through carefully designed quality home modifications:

“We can do anything from a basic door wedge to assist with wheelchair access, through to ramps and door widenings, handrails, grab rails, deck renovations, kitchens and bathrooms. We work closely with our clients and with their Allied Health professionals to come up with tailored solutions that help people live better in their own homes,” says Melissa.

HSB Group provides building services across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and Central Coast, but the team have also carried out projects Australia wide and in New Zealand. In their region specifically, they saw a real gap in the market for NDIS registered builders.

“There aren’t many NDIS registered builders around here, meaning NDIS participants have to wait a long time, which can have a major impact on their quality of life. We’re waiting on our final registration to go through, but working with Phuong has been great. There’s so much paperwork involved, it’s been a relief to be able to outsource it and to know it will be done properly,” says Melissa.

For now, Melissa and the HSB Group team are taking enquiries for future NDIS projects, so that they can hit the ground running once their NDIS registration number comes through.
