PACE and Impairment Notices: What does it all mean?
There’s been a growing buzz in the NDIS world lately, and for good reason. With the introduction of Impairment Notices and the full rollout of the PACE system, many providers and participants alike are feeling a little unsure about what these changes mean, and how to navigate them day-to-day. The pace of change (no pun intended!) can feel fast and a bit overwhelming, but you’re not alone. We’ve rounded up some genuinely helpful resources to give you clarity and confidence.
Let’s start with Impairment Notices. If you’re not quite sure what these are, or why they’ve been introduced, you’re not alone. These notices are part of the NDIS’ evolving processes around eligibility and reassessments, and they raise important questions for participants and providers alike. Thankfully, the team at Plan Hero have broken it down clearly in their latest guide.
Next up: PACE. It’s now been live for just over a month, and we’re hearing from many providers that it’s proving a steep learning curve. If you’ve received a new plan under the PACE system, you might be scratching your head wondering how to even begin interpreting it, let alone implementing it effectively. The National Disability Service have delivered the goods with this super practical explainer.
And for those running a business in the NDIS space, this thoughtful blog post by Vanessa Norman is worth a quiet read with a cuppa. She unpacks what the PACE rollout means for businesses, what challenges it may present, and how we can prepare for the transition with clarity rather than chaos.
We know the sector is going through a big period of change—but we’re here to walk through it with you, one step at a time. If you’ve read something helpful, or have questions you’d love answered in a future edition, just hit reply and let us know. 💛
